I read how someone said we ought to observe the "sprite of Christmas." All of a sudden, I could see people standing in line to buy liter bottles of Sprite.
Or passing by the front of someone's house today, I saw one of those inflatable displays looking sort of worse for the wear due to a stiff wind. Originally it was supposed to be 3 snowmen singing in a trio looking like they were caroling. But the wind had knocked the two smallest snowmen over, leaving the last large one "holding" the music book alone and rocking back and forth in the wind like an obsessed opera singer who had been singing so long the other two snowmen had fainted from fatigue.

How is everyone doing after the ice storm from hell?

I've been without power for 70+ hours...just found out that we're up and running again.

How did everyone weather the storm? Where are you from, and was your area hit hard?

And, when you've been without heat/electricity for days, do you find yourself compelled to stab the inflatable snowmen that your luckier neighbors who still have power have on their lawns?
